March 23, 2020 | United States of America

Following closure of its field offices on March 18, 2020 due to coronavirus, USCIS is providing applicants with guidance on rescheduling their appointments.

Applicants whose appointments have been cancelled due to the closures will receive interview cancellation notices from USCIS. Applicants will receive a notice reflecting the new interview date, location, and time. Application Support Center (ASC) interviews cancelled due to the closures will be rescheduled when USCIS reopens for routine operations. Applicants will receive a new ASC appointment letter by mail. Individuals awaiting all other types of appointments, should contact the USCIS Contact Center for information on rescheduling an appointment when USCIS reopens its field offices. Applicants should verify that their local field office is open before contacting the USCIS Contact Center.

USCIS offices are currently closed through April 1, 2020. Limited support remains available for emergency assistance. USCIS will provide additional details concerning office reopenings as information becomes available.
