COVID- 19: Employers to Ensure Work Pass Holders’ Contact Information Updated in MOM Systems by April 29

April 28, 2020 | Singapore

Employers are required to make sure that the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has current addresses and mobile phone numbers for all of their work pass holders for COVID-19 contact tracing purposes. To that end, employers must update this information in the Online Foreign Worker Address Service (OFWAS) and Employment Pass Online (EPOL) by April 29, 2020 at 6 pm Singapore time. This is especially important because many work pass holders have changed their residential addresses during the “circuit breaker” enhanced social distancing period.

The OFWAS and EPOL systems must be updated for all work pass holders, including those who were relocated to stay in Temporary Living Quarters (TLQ); those who were impacted by the Movement Control Order in Malaysia and remain in Singapore; and those who were relocated from dormitories to government-identified locations.

The OFWAS was recently upgraded to make it more user friendly. Employers who tried previously to make updates and were unable to do so should try again. Employers who continue to have problems updating OFWAS should email a screenshot of the issue to

Enforcement action may be taken against employers who do not provide accurate contact information for their work pass holders.
