Basic Requirements

 To be considered a business visitor, the foreign national must show:

  • Letter from their employer confirming they are undertaking this trip on the company’s behalf, the purpose of the visit, dates and who will be responsible for the costs of the trip
  • Letter from the Egyptian company confirming the visit, dates, reason for the visit, who will support the cost of the trip, accommodation details, etc.
  • Passport valid for at least six months with two blank pages

Maximum Period Stay

A business visitor is typically admitted for up to 30 days. The stay may be extendable.

Work Permit Types

The most common work authorization category in Egypt is the Work Permit, which is used for both local hires and assignments.
