Connection to Immigration
My grandfather first came to the US on a student visa obtaining an engineering degree and finding employment in Los Angeles. Through his employer, he was able to petition his wife and children (my dad) to the United States from the Philippines. My father joined the USAF and was stationed in the Philippines when he met my mom.

What is a fun fact about you?
My love for traveling and exploring new places began the moment I was born – I was a U.S. citizen born abroad in Okinawa, Japan. As a military dependent, I was able to live and visit several Asian countries and several U.S. states including Alaska. After college, I thought I’d set roots in Phoenix, Arizona but my urge to travel sent me on my way to San Francisco, California, where I began working at Pearl. Then shortly after, I ended up marrying into the military life again and suddenly I was living in Tallinn, Estonia and traveling all over Europe. Most recently, my family and I completed an epic road trip across the North American continent from Alaska to South Carolina.
